The Owens Book of Shadows is a family journal documented with ancient recipes, rituals, and spells.
History[]
The Owens Book of Shadows, often just referred to as Spellbook or The Book, is the magical tome of the Owens line of witches. It is supposed to be over 300 years old. The Book seems to have been passed down every generation ever since – assumingely created by Maria Owens in the 17th century, although the diversity of the scrapbook-like style indicates that it is actually a collection of writing works by multiple authors.
Appearance[]
The Owens Book of Shadows is a large, brown, leather-bound album with creme white thick pages being illustrated and decorated with cuttings, drawings, pressed plants, letters and pictures. The binding itself contains two different section, the first being the main body and a smaller one, that can be accessed by turning the book upside down and opening the secret area in the back. It's assumed that this back section contains the darker spells of the craft while the front section contains white magic.
